A good skin routine care is very important. We all know that it is important to cleanse the skin and to it keep hydrated but many do not know that the skin also needs to be exfoliated.
The skin is roughly built up in three layers, the hypodermis, dermis and epidermis. The epidermis is the outermost layer of skin that you see and consists of flat like cells that fall off the skin daily. Every minute we lose about 30,000 skin cells, that’s a lot but not all, you can help the skin by exfoliating once a week.
Exfoliation can be done in several ways, by using a gentle scrub, a scrub brush or a peeling product. The product that I show you today is a natural peeling that removes the dead skin and sebum and thereby prevents blemishes.
The Daytox Enzyme Peeling comes in a plastic bottle and has a powder form. You activate the ingredients, by mixing a small amount of powder with water. Apply the product on a cleansed skin. It’s not good to leave the peeling on the skin for more than two minutes because that can cause skin irritation. The manual indicates that the product is not suitable for sensitive skin. I have a pretty sensitive skin but I can use this product. Only two minutes of exposure for my skin too long, I let it sit up 90 seconds and rinse it off with lukewarm water.
Maris Sal, Disodium Lauryl Sulfosuccinate, Maltodextrin, Oryza Sativa Bran Powder, Aqua, Ananas Sativus Fruitextract, Lactobacillus Ferment, Carica Papaya Fruit Ferment Extract, Raphanus Sativus Root Ferment Extract, Propanediol, Bioflavonoids, Brassica Oleracea Italica Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract
The Daytox Enzyme Peeling is an alpha hydroxy product which consists mainly of fruit acids. Furthermore, the product contains probiotics that will make your skin looks calmer and imperfections disappear. It is a perfectly good product when you suffer from acne for example. It is a vegan product that is free of silicone, parabens, artificial colorings and paraffin oil.
Of course, the product is not tested on animals. In the EU, it is regulated that all cosmetic products that are sold and/or produced in the EU may no longer be tested on animals. And recently there was an addition that states that new ingredients also need to be cruelty free. Unfortunately, it is a persistent myth that big brands that are sold in the Netherlands are tested on animals. This is unfortunate because sometimes the brand falsely accused and boycotted because someone on social media states that their products are tested on animals. This is not true!
I received this a tester of this product at my local Douglas store accompanied by the warning that it is a fairly intense peeling. The first time I used it I followed the description on the packaging. However, two minutes too long for sensitive skin so I removed it after a one and a half minutes. I must be honest that it is not a comfortable product to use, I actually find it very hefty and watch the seconds tick by until it can the product from my skin. BUT! My skin looks amazing after using this product! I am using the product on a weekly basis for over a month and imperfections disappear before they are really visible. The skin is smooth and has a nice natural glow.
Daytox is a German brand that is for sale at Douglas in the Netherlands and Germany. This product has a great value, you get 35 grams of product for just €14,95. A little goes a long way with this product so a bottle will last you quite a long time.
Have a great weekend!!
